Many times, the format of resume is not eye catching or does not invoke the interest of the recruiter. So, Write the resume brief but comprehensively and clear. There is no need to be unnecessarily keywords.

Make it Simple & Concise – Instead of writing long lines, include some numbers to quantify your achievements. They make your resume more powerful. Researches suggest that the time spent on each resume is not more than 20 seconds. Hence, make sure that the resume is simple and concise.

Grammar & Fonts – Look for grammatical & spelling mistakes. Be careful and keep cross checking for the spelling and grammatical errors while writing your resume. Don’t use bold and stylish fonts. Arial, Calibri, Times New Roman are fine. Keep the resume simple. Spelling mistakes indicates that you haven’t taken time over your resume, which suggests you aren’t very serious about finding employment.

Academic Qualification – One of the first Characteristics that should pay attention in your resume is your academic qualifications. The academic qualifications play a major role in the recruiter decision whether the candidate is the best choice for the job or not. What Not to Do:

There are certain mistakes that many candidates make with their resumes and this can ruin their chances of getting to the next stage of the process. You should not have photographs of yourself on your resume, this is a very outdated approach. It is also not necessary to mention your date of birth or how many children you have and believe it or not, some candidates will give a short bio of their personal life.
